Senior DevOps Engineer- Sydney
About This Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team to work in Sydney. As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes. You will work closely with our customers in the financial services area delivering the products into their cloud environments. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cloud technologies, automation, a passion for optimizing and streamlining processes, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
What You Will Do
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with Technical teams on the Customer side and Customer Success, Enterprise Support, and Product Engineering teams on the H2O side. Your primary responsibilities would be to:
- Design and develop deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS, GCP and Azure cloud-based production systems
- Ensure availability, performance, security, and scalability of various cloud production systems
- Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems.
- Evaluate new technology alternatives and vendor products
- System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms
- Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions
- Provide recommendations for architecture and process improvements.
- Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on cloud platforms
- Design, maintain and manage tools for automation of different operational processes.
Your additional responsibilities include
- Be the trusted solutions advisor for our customers and partners.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse audience of internal and external stakeholders consisting of: Engineers, business people, partners, executives.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in computer science or information technology
- 5+ years experience with cloud computing technologies
- 5+ years experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management
- 5+ years experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, with a focus on AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience in designing, deploying, and managing production-grade cloud-based systems
- Experience automating routine tasks, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning
- Experience with automation tools like Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Experience of debugging/troubleshooting containerized workloads and familiarity with tools such as kubectl, helm etc.
- Experience of working in a customer-facing environment, providing technical services
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out From the Crowd
- Big Data / ETL experience is good to have
- Knowledge of data privacy and security principles.
- Experience with natural language processing or computer vision tasks.
- Experience with Generative AI and relevant Generative AI frameworks (langchain, autogen etc)
