About This Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Technical Accounting & Revenue Accounting Manager to lead revenue recognition and other technical accounting assessments for our growing, global business. You will partner closely with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and external auditors to ensure accurate contract reviews, proper revenue treatment, and strong internal controls, and will serve as a key point of contact for technical accounting positions and audit support.

This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is excited to help build and scale revenue and technical accounting processes in a high-growth AI company.

This is a remote position based in the United States, with a preference for candidates in the PST time zone.


What You Will Do

Revenue Recognition
  • Own the end-to-end revenue recognition process, including ensuring revenue recognition adherence under ASC 606.
  • Partner with sales operations and the general accounting team to manage invoicing and deferred revenue recognition.
  • Lead month-end close activities including revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations and internal and external reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Operations to evaluate contracts and revenue implications, including explaining the accounting implication.
  • Maintaining audit readiness through solid technical accounting and documentation and internal controls.
  • Leverage systems including SAP S/4Hana and Salesforce to continue to streamline the automation and improve revenue processes.
  • Opportunities to lead the global external audit process, depending on experience.
Other Technical Accounting and Audit
  • Lead technical accounting assessments for all other complex areas including commissions, lease, and equity accounting.
  • Support the Corporate Consolidated audit in the preparation of the financial statements and related notes to ensure compliance with U.S.GAAP.
  • Opportunities to lead and project manage other special projects.
What We Are Looking For
  • 8+ years of revenue accounting experience, in an enterprise software company (“B2B” with license (“on premise”) and subscription revenue
  • Proven experience with ASC 606, ASC 340 and other technical accounting areas under US GAAP
  • Public accounting (Big 4 or similar) required at least 5 years
  • Operational experience with billing and systems integration  a plus but due to the nature of the role significant technical accounting experience is required.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy .
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, G-Suite, Salesforce, and SAP S/4Hana
  • A highly productive self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and multi-task efficiently.
